Havana, Nov 30.- President of Uganda General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will meet his Cuban peer Raul Castro at the beginning of a 3-day official visit to the island.

The visitor will place a wreath at the monument of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti in Plaza de la Revolucion and will visit other places of interest according to the agenda until Wednesday.

He was born in 1944 and studied Political Sciences, Economics and Law in Dar Es-Salaam University in Tanzania until 1970. He was also the leader of the movement University Students' Union for a Revolutionary Front in that higher education centre.

He and a group of supporters created the National Resistance Army in 1981, which seized the power on January 1986 according to his biography that was published by Granma daily.

He was the President of the Organization of African Unity from 1990 to 1991.

He was elected President in the first general elections on May 9, 1996 after the triumph of the National Resistance Army. Then, he was re-elected in 2001 and 2006 elections. (Prensa Latina)
